The Linux-Hams archive is an archive of the linux-hams@vger.kernel.org mailing list. Linux-hams is a mailing list to discuss the Linux operating system, and it's uses with Amateur Radio.
On Mar 11, 2000 the #hamradio IRC channel was registered on the FreeNode IRC network to discuss amateur radio and opensource software. A list of IRC servers is available on http://freenode.net/irc_servers.shtml.
The Linux Operating System is perhaps the only operating system in the world that can boast native and standard support for the AX.25 packet radio protocol utilised by Amateur Radio Operators worldwide. The AX25-HOWTO aims to describe how to install and configure this support.
